Job Title: Software Engineering Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a Software Engineering Specialist to join our Test Engineering Team, where you will play a crucial role in developing test and automation solutions in an electronics manufacturing environment. This position provides the opportunity to collaborate with an experienced engineering team, focusing on production support, software validation, and process optimization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software solutions using C# and TestStand.
• Debug and fix software issues in C# and TestStand.
• Validate software functionality to ensure reliability and performance.
• Assist in the development of test and automation solutions for electronics manufacturing.
• Support production and software validation processes.
• Collaborate with engineers to review and contribute to test/validation development designs.
• Implement software and hardware solutions, including hardware procurement, integration, qualification, and installation.
• Assist in creating and updating work instructions for test processes.
• Contribute to process optimization to improve development efficiency.

Essential Skills

• Graduated with a BS or MS in Computer Science or Engineering (or a related field).
• Strong software engineering skills with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP).
• Experience with at least one of the following: C#, TestStand, or MS SQL.
• Strong work ethic and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to adapt to change and learn new technologies quickly.
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with manufacturing
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Strong initiative and self-driven work style.
• LabView/VEE-code working experience is an asset.
• General knowledge of electronics and basic understanding of manufacturing systems.
• Experience working with instrumentation such as Power Supplies and Multimeters.
• Exposure to engineering project development and support.

Work Environment

The role is primarily onsite, with three days required on location. You will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, contributing to process optimization and software development for electronics manufacturing.
