Overview

Lots of projects throughout Whistler, Pemberton and Squamish require the help of labourers, carpenters, drywallers and trades of all experience levels building fine homes and assisting with completing the renovations of restaurants and hotels. Requires good physical fitness, willingness to get your hands dirty and work hard plus a great attitude.

This is a great way to earn extra income, or even try out a new company. Long term positions are often offered to employees who are interested in staying on, but there’s no commitment required. Temp work is about picking the shifts YOU want WHEN you want. Pays excellent wages up to $29/hour based on experience.

Position: Construction Labourers (no experience necessary)

• DUTIES: Assisting with construction labour tasks that may include using hand tools, basic construction, moving materials, furniture, rubbish and supplies at a variety of construction, residential and hotel sites around Whistler. Involves physical labour and heavy lifting, site demolition and sometimes basic construction duties, and pitching in where needed.
• SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: Physically fit, ready to work hard, able to lift heavy loads (50 lbs) and be on your feet all day. Prior construction or work site experience beneficial but not required.
• ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Steel‑toed or sturdy work boots required. Work gloves and hard hat are also beneficial.
• WAGE: $22-$26/hr + 4% vacation pay
  • Proby (Tier 1) = $22/hr to start
  • Regular (Tier 2) = $24/hr after 10 Successful Shifts
  • Hero (Tier 3) = $26/hr after 20 Successful Shifts

Position: Skilled Construction Labourers (2+ years exp)

• DUTIES: Assisting with various skilled labour duties at construction sites. Duties may include cutting materials, hammering nails and use of tools, painting, site cleaning, site demolition, helping on-site carpenters and trades, general labour and pitching in where needed.
• SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: Previous experience in similar roles. Comfortable with hand and power tools, general handy skills. Physically fit, ready to work hard, able to lift heavy loads (50 lbs) and be on your feet all day.
• ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Steel‑toed or sturdy work boots required. Work gloves and hard hat are also beneficial.
• WAGE: $25-$29/hr + 4% vacation pay
  • Proby (Tier 1) = $25/hr to start
  • Regular (Tier 2) = $27/hr after 10 Successful Shifts
  • Hero (Tier 3) = $29/hr after 20 Successful Shifts
