Technology Manager – Engineering Productivity & Tools (EPT)

Are you excited about leading and managing platform teams in technology?

We are seeking a technology manager for our engineering productivity & tools team, the successful candidate will deliver the vision, strategy, and overall roadmap for delivering meaningful value in conjunction with our strategic and financial goals.

This role will influence and gather support amongst peers and engage with various IT Teams, such as operations, platform, infrastructure, and software delivery, using agile best practices in ensuring the product vision is clear and that performance meets the criteria.

At our head office, in beautiful Vancouver, BC, we practice a remote-first working model, leveraging in-person interactions for strategic, collaborative, and social purposes.

What you’ll do
  • Provide guidance, technical leadership, and training to other employees while working within an agile environment.
  • Lead onboarding for new team members to ensure new team members are set up for success.
  • Make ROI decisions that support the delivery of business objectives for the Platform teams.
  • Perform research on cloud, automation and development platforms which include cost analysis and recommend new developments accordingly.
  • Act as a product owner and publish/prioritize epics and stories that meet the needs of the product roadmap for the engineering productivity & tools team and our technology department.
  • Interact with internal customers and stakeholders on a regular basis to obtain and apply feedback on how to improve the team’s platforms/products/technologies/services and ensure processes are efficient.
  • Facilitate the ongoing support and maintenance of the team’s platforms/products/technologies/ services.
What we’re looking for
  • 8+ years working within the IT industry.
  • 5+ years working in a technical discipline such as a software engineer, technical lead, or devops/platform engineer.
  • 5+ years working as a people lead for a small team of individual contributors.
  • 3+ years working with cloud (preferably azure), devops, development platforms (github, jenkins, tekton, argo CD, terraform, ansible) and migrations.
  • Experience working within an Agile environment.

Annualized Compensation Range

$120,000.00 - $130,000.00

This job is eligible for a company performance bonus in addition to the compensation range above.
