Position Summary

Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician. Walmart is expanding our workforce across local retail stores and is actively recruiting a technician to support and oversee repair within the Walmart facilities refrigeration HVAC equipment team and assets. You will utilize commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and a variety of hand, digital, and power tools to complete jobs. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility’s refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and a variety of hand, digital, and power tools.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive repair work orders, support stores and store associates, and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by following Walmart Refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights frequently.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Large scale rack refrigeration experience.
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report.
• 18 years or older with a high‑school diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification and 2 years of mechanical maintenance or construction‑related experience for commercial HVAC/R and building controls (or 4 years of equivalent experience).

Compensation

Hourly wage range for this position is $23.00 – $45.00. Additional premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Bonus incentives are also available.
