Qualifications

Technical Services Technologist

Location: Sonova Kitchener

About the Role

We are seeking a Technical Services Technologist to support the development and maintenance of Sonova’s hearing products. This role is responsible for creating documentation, maintaining work instructions used globally, assisting with product testing, and building prototypes. You will play an important part in ensuring product quality, compliance, and continuous improvement across our operations.

What You’ll Do
  • Assist in testing hearing instruments using Sonova Pro&Go systems.

  • Develop and maintain production assembly instructions and service documentation.

  • Conduct environmental and accelerated life testing.

  • Maintain calibration schedules and ensure compliance with ISO standards.

  • Assemble and prepare prototype devices for product development.

  • Support customer complaint investigations with product testing and analysis.

  • Perform yield improvement studies to help identify and resolve failures.

  • Provide ongoing support for new and existing products.

What We’re Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar technical role.

  • Experience working in a regulated industry (medical devices preferred).

  • Strong background in cross-functional project collaboration.

  • Ability to use data for decision-making and performance evaluation.

  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
