Position Overview

MRR is seeking a dynamic Technical Sales Representative to support our continued growth across Canada. In this role, you will travel extensively (up to 75%), leveraging your technical expertise and knowledge of the natural gas industry to build strong client relationships, identify new opportunities, and drive revenue growth through effective sales execution.

The ideal candidate will bring an established professional network within the Canadian natural gas industry, including relationships with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • 1. Business Development & Market Growth
    • Identify, develop, and manage client relationships in Canada and the US.
    • Track upcoming natural gas projects through databases, networking, and relationships within the industry.
    • Attend tradeshows.
  • 2. Sales Execution
    • Understand customer needs and requirements and provide technically sound product and service recommendations and solutions.
    • Coordinate with internal project managers to prepare quotations and proposals.Participate in training to enhance technical knowledge of MRR products and services.
    • Negotiate and close sales contracts, ensuring successful handoff to project management and operations.
  • 3. Market Intelligence & Reporting
    • Maintain a sales pipeline using the CRM.
    • Monitor competitor activity and emerging market opportunities.
    • Provide monthly updates on sales performance, pipeline status, and key accounts.
    • Stay current on industry trends, products, and emerging technologies.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or equivalent industry experience)
  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience with demonstrated revenue growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop new client relationships and maintain existing ones using innovative solutions and a strategic sales approach.
  • Ability to adapt sales strategies to meet diverse client needs and changing market conditions.
  • Experience with CRM software.Willingness to travel (75%) across Canada and sometimes the U.S.

This role pays a competitive total compensation ranging from $100,000 to $150,000 per annum. Base Salary and performance incentive details will be discussed later in the recruitment process. The compensation is dependent on the candidate's experience and will be evaluated during the interview process.
