Job description

We are looking for Technical Leads to take full architectural ownership of our core stakeholder "branches." In this role, you aren't just maintaining features; you are responsible for revolutionizing the product experience for a specific domain (e. g., Prescriber, Pharmacy, or PSP). You will have the autonomy to design, scale, and optimize the infrastructure that connects these stakeholders to life‑saving medications.

Responsibilities
  • Domain Ownership: Take full technical and architectural accountability for a specific stakeholder branch. You will lead the "Pod" responsible for reimagining how that user group interacts with our core engine.
  • Architectural Strategy: Design and optimize high-concurrency systems capable of handling 10k+ monthly transactions with high reliability, security, and performance.
  • Hands‑on Engineering: Lead by example. You will spend roughly 60% of your time on "gold‑standard" coding and system architecture, and 40% on mentoring and unblocking your engineering team.
  • Product‑Engineering Bridge: Collaborate directly with Canadian product leadership to translate complex healthcare requirements into a robust, scalable technical roadmap.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure all domain infrastructure meets the highest data integrity standards (HIPAA/PIPEDA compliance) while managing the intricacies of multi‑party healthcare data.
Requirements
  • Product Mindset: You care about the "why" behind the code. You understand that your architecture directly impacts how quickly a patient receives life‑saving treatment.
  • Proven Seniority: 5+ years of professional engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a Technical Lead or Architectural role.
  • Scale Experience: A background in building or scaling high‑transaction systems (e. g., Fintech, Logistics, or Health Infrastructure).
  • Communication: Exceptional English proficiency. You must be able to articulate complex architectural trade‑offs to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Ownership DNA: You are someone who thrives with high autonomy and takes full responsibility for the stability and evolution of your domain.
