A local council is looking for a Team Leader for Building Compliance in Ontario, Selwyn. Our Building Compliance team are responsible for undertaking the territorial authority functions under the Building Act, working with our community promoting a culture of compliance and understanding, supporting and being empathetic while achieving compliant outcomes.

As the Team Leader Building Compliance you will provide leadership to the Building Compliance Team to deliver a high quality customer experience. You will provide technical support and guidance to the team and colleagues across wider council on regulatory building matters.
You will be a role model providing on the job coaching and mentoring to support team member development, ensuring their effective contribution.
You will be an effective communicator with the ability to relay technical information in layman's terms and manage conflict resolution through customer engagement.
