We serve a student population of approximately 4700 students. School District 69 (Qualicum) consists of eight elementary schools (Grades K-7), two secondary schools (Grade 8-12), an alternate school (PASS/Woodwinds) and a Distributed Learning program to support home-learning families called the Collaborative Education Alternative Program (CEAP). False Bay School on Lasqueti Island is entirely off-grid with an immense solar project recently completed. School District 69 (Qualicum) also embraces many community organizations through various school programs. The Qualicum School District is seeking highly skilled and dynamic educators to join our Teachers Teaching on Call pool. Our TTOCs enjoy working in a vibrant and growing district where employment opportunities for teachers are expected to continue into the future.
We invite applications from generalists and specialists (French Immersion, Technical Education, Science & Mathematics and Learning Assistance)who can demonstrate currency of practice, excellent interpersonal skills and work ethic, and a proven knowledge of the BC curriculum.
Preference will be given to candidates who have the ability to teach in a wide variety of settings and who are available full time.
