About Our Client

Our client is a fast-growing organization comprised of more than a dozen companies in real estate development, property management, construction, and holding entities.

Job Description
  • Manage full-cycle accounting and bookkeeping; review transactions and collaborate with other departments to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual HST returns; handle CRA inquiries, reviews, and audits.
  • Record adjusting entries, reconcile intercompany transactions, and implement strategies to optimize tax efficiency.
  • Prepare financial statements in compliance with GAAP for various reporting requirements.
  • Prepare and file T2 corporate tax returns for the group of companies.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support management decision-making.
  • Assist with other accounting and tax-related projects as required.

The Successful Applicant
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA designation (required).
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in public accounting; experience in real estate development and/or property management is a strong asset.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Taxprep; experience with Yardi is a strong asset.
  • Strong analytical, proactive, and results-driven mindset; eager and willing to learn.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in Mandarin (required).
