A leading data solutions provider in Toronto is looking for an ETL Developer to lead Talend projects for a top Canadian bank. This role involves constructing data integration pipelines, maintaining data quality, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Candidates should have over 10 years in ETL development, with significant expertise in Talend and Java. The position is hybrid, requiring a commitment of 3 days onsite, with a contract lasting approximately 10 months. Join us in a vital migration project to enhance your skills!
Hybrid - 2201 Eglinton Ave East Ecosystem 3, Scarborough – 3 days/week (Thursday is set, the other 2 are flexible)
Subject to change: 3–4 days onsite may be required based on business needs
Contract Duration: approx. 10 months – Jan to Oct 31, 2026
Schedule Hours: 9am-5pm Monday-Friday; standard 37.5 hrs/week
Involved in end-to-end ETL/ELT architectures using Talend (Studio, TAC, Data Integration, Real-Time Big Data, Data Quality).
Select integration patterns (batch, micro-batch, streaming) aligned to business SLAs and system constraints.
Establish standards for metadata management, lineage, error handling, and reusability.
Talend: Studio, TAC, DI, Real-Time Big Data Platform, Data Quality
Databases: SQL Server, DB2
Languages: Java 8/11, SQL
Streaming/Integration: REST, Kafka; monitoring via Splunk
DevOps: Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps (pipelines, artifacts), environment configs
Cloud (preferred): Azure/GCP services for storage, compute, integration
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a key migration project and enhance their ETL development skills for a top 5 Canadian Bank.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
Ideal candidate will have a good fit with the team above the technical skillset sought, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, communication; technical: strong experience with Talend; need to be able to hit the ground running
