Description

Join Our Team – Road Maintenance Careers with Ledcor Highways Ltd. Ledcor Highway Maintenance is hiring Sweeper operators with a safety-first mindset to support our highway maintenance team in the greater Edmonton area. You will be responsible for spring and summer seasonal maintenance of Alberta highways, using various heavy equipment. Work Conditions
  • Shift work, on-call, and night shift will be required during operating months.
  • Start Date: April 13th – Spring/Summer Season runs April through October.
  • Travel, shift work, on call availability and night shift required during operating months.
  • Accommodations, meal allowance and LOA provided for out of town work.
  • Work locations span provincial & municipal highways across Alberta.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Operate street sweepers, wheel loader and other heavy and light equipment as required.
  • Maintain Alberta Provincial Highways, including assisting with labour duties (crack sealing, pothole repair, bridge and signage cleaning, hazard remediation, etc.).
  • Work outside in all weather conditions.
Qualifications
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid Class 1 or 3 driver’s license with air endorsement.
  • Clear 3-year driver’s abstract.
  • Previous experience operating a sweeper and/or wheel loader is a strong asset.
