Overview

We’re seeking a results-driven Sustaining Capital Projects Manager to lead our capital projects across Hotels and Spas. The candidate will be responsible for delivering high-impact improvements that support operational excellence and long-term growth.

About the Role:
Are you a strategic thinker who thrives on turning plans into action? We're looking for a Sustaining Capital Projects Manager to lead the planning and execution of capital projects across our Hotels and Nordic Spa divisions. This role plays a key part in shaping and managing our CAPEX portfolio, ensuring every project aligns with our corporate strategy, meets operational goals, and exceeds expectations.

You will oversee all aspects of sustaining capital projects—from budget planning and system integration to project execution and stakeholder coordination. You’re someone who sees what needs to be done and takes ownership from start to finish, working independently with strong initiative and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Strategic CAPEX Planning

  • Build and manage CAPEX budgets and long-term (5-year) strategic plans for infrastructure, equipment, and facilities.

  • Ensure plans align with corporate policies and operational standards.

Project Portfolio & Execution

  • Scope, cost, and schedule capital projects in partnership with key stakeholders.

  • Oversee full project lifecycle—from design to completion—within budget and timelines.

  • Ensure project quality, milestone tracking, and timely execution.

Systems & KPI Management

  • Champion the use of Transcendent (Hotels) and Limble (Spas) maintenance software.

  • Map property-level approved capital projects into system workflows and manage work orders.

  • Establish and manage KPI reporting to support project transparency and performance.

Communication & Reporting

  • Maintain regular communication with all project stakeholders.

  • Provide critical path planning, monthly progress updates, and risk escalation as needed.

  • Prepare formal reports and presentations for leadership.

Budget & Controls

  • Define and manage project budgets, schedules, and change orders.

  • Implement financial controls and oversee invoice review and approval.

Contractor & Partner Oversight

  • Lead contractor selection and management using a quality- and value-based approach.

  • Collaborate with Construction team and external partners, ensuring project alignment and compliance.

Live Our Core Values

  • Demonstrate integrity, honesty, and accountability in every interaction.

  • Deliver quality work with minimal follow-up, supporting a culture of excellence and reliability.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in facility capital management—preferably in hospitality.

  • Proven success managing large-scale capital projects and preventative maintenance programs.

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Familiarity with sustainable construction practices and hospitality trends.
