Position Summary: Supports the efforts of Gordon Food Service drivers in serving customers through the initial training of new drivers and on-going coaching of all drivers. Provides input to manager on individual driver performance and plans to assist drivers in the continual improvement process. May be responsible for route balancing and assignment, temp routing, dispatching, equipment assignments, and backhaul scheduling. Facilitate or assist in conducting regular driver meetings. Assure compliance with pertinent Federal, State, and Local regulations and requirements.
