This is a part‑time temporary support staff role reporting to the Dean, Applied Science, Engineering Technology & Trades (ASETT) making $34.77 / HR. This is a meaningful opportunity to shape a new Powerline Technician program from the ground up—ensuring the curriculum, hands‑on labs, and pole yard reflect the realities of the trade. Your expertise will directly influence the quality, safety, and readiness of future powerline technicians entering Ontario’s energy sector.
Lambton College is seeking an experienced Powerline Technician (PLT) industry expert to support the development of a new Powerline Technician program within the Faculty of Applied Science, Engineering Technology & Trades. This role is ideal for a working professional who is passionate about the trade and interested in shaping the next generation of powerline technicians.
This is a flexible, project‑based position that can be completed while you maintain your full‑time employment. Training, coaching, and standardized curriculum templates will be provided.
Working closely with a curriculum coach, the SME will play a central role in shaping both the academic and practical direction of the Powerline Technician program. Responsibilities include:
