Studio Operator / Production Specialist – Oshawa, Canada

Responsibilities
  • Work with stakeholders and strategic Corporate partners in the production of both ‘on-site’ and ‘off-site’ productions/events (i.e. Executive Announcements, Town Halls, ENG video shoots)
  • Coordinate and assist with the technical production of studio productions, including the set-up of cameras, audio equipment, teleprompter, lighting and video equipment for each event.
  • Assist with the development and production of both on-site and off-site productions/events as assigned
  • Assure all video production elements (i.e. video assets) adhere to current policies / procedures, and provide support and direction on the technical aspects of studio production and equipment
  • Conduct regular maintenance of studio equipment and troubleshoot equipment problems that arise prior or during production.
  • Operate and use the Virtual Training system, monitor and capture all necessary information that pertains to these events
  • Work directly with GM Canada executives to deliver confidential and time-sensitive information
Required Skillsets
  • This is an onsite job and requires reporting to the client office 5 days a week
  • This position is located in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada
  • 2+ years Video Production Experience with live and recorded in a Corporate (or similar) studio environment, utilizing Studio equipment (i.e. video switchers, audio mixers cameras, teleprompter operations, lighting setup/greenscreen, etc.)
  • Videography skill set desirable
  • Bilingual (French) desirable
  • Video editing experience desirable
  • Experience with scheduling, coordination, or administrative role — ideally within a creative studio, production house, or media environment desirable
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma/Certificate, in Communications, Media Production, Business Administration, or a related field
