Overview

Job Title: Structures Technician

We are seeking a skilled Structures Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for developing and executing repair plans, supporting apprentices, ordering parts, and performing modifications and maintenance on various aircraft. This role involves collaborating with crew leads, inspecting and repairing structural damage, and ensuring high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute repair plans with the support of team members.
  • Support and mentor apprentices.
  • Order necessary parts and materials.
  • Perform modifications such as radiators, tanks and other components.
  • Participate in daily tailgate meetings to receive tasks for the day.
  • Collaborate with crew leads to carry out tasks and install parts.
  • Inspect and repair structural damage, including grinding corrosion and blending out damage.
  • Work closely with leads and managers to determine the best approach for repairs.
  • Provide feedback on repair processes and outcomes.
  • Engage in hands-on work, including stooping, kneeling, and working on the floor or on your back.
Required Skills
  • 8+ years of MRO Canadian work experience
  • 8+ years of heavy modification experience
  • Experience with heavy C-checks
  • Proficiency in reading and writing in English
  • Ability to use and bring your own structures tools
Compensation
  • Hourly rate is based on experience/AME license
  • Weekly payroll
  • Hotel or Air B&B accommodation provided

Work Environment

You will be working with a team of roughly 30 people on a 2-weeks-on, 1-week-off shift schedule, from 6 am to 4:30 pm. Our team often works 6 days a week, with opportunities for overtime. Contractors will stay in company-provided accommodations and use company vehicles for transportation. The work involves a lot of physical activity, including stooping, kneeling, and working on the floor.
