Overview

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY

The PB&CB Architecture team is undertaking multiple complex initiatives as part of RBCs ambitious and exciting technology and business strategy. One of the key elements to that plan is to greatly expand our Digital Investments capabilities. This role is a highly unique opportunity to own and operate your own domain and collaborate with highly motivated technical and business partners. You will research coordinate design communicate and execute architecture activities to move the business forward into the future.

WHAT WILL YOU DO

The following responsibilities describe the core activities of the role:

  • Become the de facto subject matter expert on the Digital Investments Domain by establishing strong working relationships across business units and platforms to build influence and impact with key business partners. Collaborate with groups to define and achieve deliverables and ensure initiatives are effectively integrated into RBC procedures and processes.
  • Collaborate with your PB&CB and enterprise peers to create modern sustainable and reusable solutions.
  • Manage the implementation of multiple concurrent initiatives of varying complexity in a time efficient manner. Monitor and control activities according to plan.
  • Continuously identify potential issues conflicts and risks. Analyze mitigate and escalate where appropriate.
  • Contribute to all ongoing administrative program activities as required.
What you need to succeed

Must have :

  • Undergraduate degree coupled with change management experience in complex programs with high frequency of requests and multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability in written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation skills. Ability to determine the information and communication needs of the stakeholders and project.
  • Strong organizational project management and time management capabilities.
  • A strong understanding of technology and / or financial services industry.
  • Deadline-driven and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously.

Nice-to-have :

  • Experience in a matrix environment such as a large publicly-traded corporation
  • Ability to facilitate between and influence key decision makers
  • Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses
