Overview

What is the opportunity?

This position in the Insurance Product Management team is responsible for sourcing data for product profitability management across all Individual, Group, and Wealth product lines for RBC Insurance. This position will collaborate closely with key stakeholders to help build and maintain by product dashboards. The development of automation opportunities is another key element of this position. This position will also provide key insights to Insurance Product Managers with recommended strategic opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Independently work with Insurance Product Managers to ensure all required data has been adequately sourced and collaborate with Data & AI team to address potential gaps
  • Support Insurance Senior Management in the development of strategies across lines of business for Individual, Group, and Wealth
  • Review existing Insurance Product Management dashboards, determine what dashboards can be retired, compared to what dashboards are missing
  • Prioritize what data requests need to be addressed first, and work with data team to ensure plan is in place to obtain necessary data
  • Determine if any adhoc request needs to be pulled in a scheduled manner, i.e., monthly, quarterly, or yearly, again work with data team for solutioning
  • Collaborate with key partners and represent Insurance Product Management team on key initiatives aligned to support strategic plan and drive both financial and strategic objectives
What will you need to succeed?
  • Must have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics or a relevant field
  • 5 to 7 years’ experience in Insurance and a working knowledge of the industry, insurance products, and related processes
  • Direct experience working with and skillful proficiency in Data Analytics/Visualization tools SQL and Tableau
  • Direct experience with scripting languages such as Python, R, etc
  • Effective communication and developing leadership skills, with the ability to communicate and present ideas across various levels of management and stakeholders
