Job description

Autodesk is hiring a Senior Finance Business Partner in Marketing Finance to partner closely with our Brand and Education teams and help drive financial rigor across top‑of‑funnel initiatives. In this role, you will provide analytical insight, investment guidance, and performance measurement to ensure our early funnel programs effectively build awareness, engage future users, and drive long‑term pipeline and revenue growth.

You will collaborate cross‑functionally with Marketing leaders, Finance, Analytics, and FP&A to support planning, forecasting, ongoing performance reviews, and investment decision‑making. The ideal candidate combines strong financial and analytical skills with a talent for translating complex data into clear, actionable insights for non‑finance partners.

This position will report to the Sr Director, Marketing Finance, and it will be 100% remote in Canada.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary finance partner to the Brand and Education marketing leaders.
  • Lead planning, budgeting, and forecasting for early funnel marketing programs, aligning investments to Autodesk’s strategic growth goals.
  • Evaluate investment proposals and provide recommendations on spend levels, trade‑offs, and ROI expectations.
  • Assess the effectiveness of brand campaigns, awareness programs, and education initiatives using KPIs such as reach, engagement, funnel progression, CAC influence, and long‑term LTV impact.
  • Build and maintain models that track early funnel performance, spend efficiency, and contribution to downstream pipeline quality.
  • Partner with Marketing Analytics and Insights teams to combine qualitative and quantitative data into cohesive recommendations.
Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum 8+ years finance experience in Finance, FP&A, Marketing Finance, or GTM Finance, preferably in a global, matrixed organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or equivalent.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with an ability to work with directional data while still forming grounded insights.
  • Ability to deliver clear business narratives and influence stakeholders outside of Finance.
  • Experience supporting Brand, Education, Awareness, or early funnel marketing teams is a plus.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Excel/Sheets; Anaplan, Sigma, Tableau/Power BI, Google Analytics, Snowflake experience a plus.
  • You’re a strategic thinker with strong business acumen.
  • You have a strong command of “the details,” but don’t get lost in them.
  • Prior success as an executor, driving projects with cross‑functional teams.
  • You are a poised communicator with prior experience advising senior leaders.
  • You thrive in a team environment and practice confidence without attitude or ego.
Salary Transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For Canada‑BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $123,700 and $170,060. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
