TITLE: Senior DevOps Engineer – AWS & GitOps Focus
LOCATION: Toronto, Ontario

JOB OVERVIEW

BridgeView is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with deep AWS expertise and a strong background in GitOps methodologies. In this role, you will architect and optimize cloud-native infrastructure, build and support highly scalable deployment pipelines, and drive automation across complex systems. This position is ideal for an engineer who thrives in modern DevOps environments, enjoys solving sophisticated technical challenges, and embraces proactive, self‑directed work. You’ll partner with cross‑functional teams to deliver secure, resilient, and efficient cloud platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, build, and maintain AWS‑based infrastructure leveraging services such as EC2, EKS, RDS, IAM, ASM, ACM, PrivateLink, and VPC Lattice
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
• Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters and workloads
• Build, enhance, and support GitOps‑driven deployments
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitLab
• Implement and support observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, DataDog, etc.)
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to support cloud‑native application delivery
• Troubleshoot complex integrations and ensure reliability, performance, and scalability
• Contribute to automation initiatives and continuous improvement efforts

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• 6+ years of hands‑on experience working with AWS in production environments
• Strong command of AWS services including EC2, EKS, RDS, IAM, ASM, ACM, PrivateLink, and VPC Lattice
• Proficiency with Terraform for IaC
• Deep experience managing Kubernetes clusters
• Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Go
• Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred)
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, or DataDog
• Experience with GitOps (ArgoCD strongly preferred; multi‑cluster management a plus)
• Exposure to Helm, Argo Workflows, or SaaS/PaaS environments (nice to have)
• Strong problem‑solving, communication, and client‑facing abilities
• Ability to work independently with high attention to detail and ownership mindset
