Job description

We are seeking a Solution Architect (SA) who will report to the Manager of Solution Architecture. The SA will primarily define the solution architecture for specific projects and collaborate with business leaders to develop roadmaps and ensure solution alignment. The role involves reviewing and understanding business requirements to design technology solutions that meet those needs while adhering to the principles of Enterprise Architecture within the BRP context.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop architectural concepts across business, application, information, and technology domains through solution architecture design documents.
  • Build solution architecture for the global services ecosystem and its interfaces to connected systems.
  • Implement and integrate technology solutions for global trade services, including broker connectivity, customs documentation, trade compliance, and analytics.
  • Design and manage financial systems architecture, ensuring data accuracy, security, and compliance.
  • Ensure all solutions comply with legal and regulatory requirements related to global trade and finance.
  • Collaborate with organizational stakeholders to align information systems with strategic goals.
  • Estimate costs and prepare business cases considering infrastructure, licenses, cybersecurity, development, and support.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of ten years in IT, with at least five in information system design.
  • Extensive experience designing and implementing information solutions, with specialization in core enterprise systems (e.g., Global Trade Services, Finance, Legal).
  • Hands-on experience with SAP S/4, SAP GTS, SAP ECC, SuccessFactors, Ariba.
  • Strategic understanding of organizational goals and ability to design supporting information systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences and engaging with board-level stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership and collaboration skills across teams.
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture methodologies such as TOGAF, Archimate, or equivalent.
  • Bilingual in French and English, with proficiency in English for negotiations and global stakeholder interactions.
