SOLAR INSTALLERJOB POSTINGJOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Solar Installer to join our growing team. The Solar Installer will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of both grid-connected and off-grid solar energy systems for residential and commercial properties. This role requires technical expertise in DC & AC electrical work, the ability to work with solar batteries for energy storage, and the knowledge to troubleshoot performance issues. The ideal candidate will have a passion for renewable energy, a strong understanding of electrical systems, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to our clients. This position offers growth opportunities, with potential advancement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Install, maintain, and repair grid-tied and off-grid solar systems according to design specifications and safety standards.
  • Install solar panels on rooftops and ground-mounted systems, ensuring optimal placement based on roof condition and sun exposure.
  • Handle DC & AC electrical work, including wiring, inverters, and electrical panels, ensuring proper connections and safe installation.
  • Integrate solar battery storage systems for backup power and energy solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain existing solar systems to resolve performance issues and electrical faults.
  • Collaborate with electricians, engineers, and project managers to complete installations efficiently.
  • Educate clients on system operation, benefits, and ongoing maintenance requirements.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, NEC codes, OSHA regulations, and local building requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of installations, service activities, and equipment inventory.
  • Uphold company standards for quality and customer service in all work.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in electrical or solar installation preferred.
  • Proven experience as a solar installer or in a related field (electrical or construction).
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and solar technology.
  • Experience with solar battery systems and energy storage solutions is an asset.
  • Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and safety equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and at heights.
  • Strong communication skills and customer-service-oriented attitude.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Work primarily outdoors on rooftops or ground-mounted installations.
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions and physical demands such as lifting panels and climbing ladders.
  • Shifts are typically 10–12 hours, with overtime expected
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
  • $22.50 - $30.00 per hour (based on experience)
