About the role

We’re looking for a Software Developer with a front‑end focus who can create engaging, high‑performing user experiences while also thinking like a full‑stack engineer. You’ll own your work from concept through deployment, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to build software that powers ecommerce brands around the world.

What you’ll do

• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to deliver solutions that provide real value to our merchants.
• Design, build, and maintain systems and APIs that scale to handle high traffic.
• Debug and resolve software issues with a problem‑solving mindset.
• Own tasks related to unit tests, merge requests, and production releases.
• Participate in all stages of the development lifecycle including stand‑ups, code reviews, retrospectives, and estimations.
• Contribute to discussions on user stories and requirements.
• Share progress updates aligned with delivery and launch dates.
• Partner with teammates to resolve incidents and bugs efficiently.
• Keep product documentation up to date and relevant.

What we’re looking for

• 3+ years of front‑end development experience, ideally within SaaS, ecommerce, or Shopify ecosystems.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience with React (or a similar modern JavaScript framework).
• Familiarity with Shopify Polaris (Shopify’s React component library) and Shopify App Bridge for building embedded app experiences.
• Understanding of REST and GraphQL APIs, including integration with Shopify’s Admin and Storefront APIs.
• Experience with responsive design and cross‑browser compatibility.
• Strong understanding of UI/UX best practices and accessibility principles.
• Comfortable with Git and modern development workflows (branching, pull requests, code reviews).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment best practices for web apps.
• Bonus: experience with Liquid (for theme integrations), Shopify Functions, or Hydrogen/Remix for custom storefront work.
• Familiarity with Shopify Flow and how apps can integrate with Flow triggers and actions is an asset.
