The Role

Knight Piesold's head office in Australia is in Perth, Western Australia. We are looking for a number of Site Engineers to work on our international site-based projects. The Site Engineer will travel to site from their home base.

The Site Engineer is responsible for :

• Overseeing and managing the construction of tailings dams on site;
• Quality control and assurance, including soil / laboratory testing; and
• Supporting the successful implementation and delivery of project scope.

Our Ideal Candidate

The successful candidates will ideally have :

• Degree qualification in Engineering with either Geotechnical or Civil specialisations;
• Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience within the mining industry and experience with tailings dam or earth fill dam construction would be advantageous;
• Minimum of 1 year working on overseas projects on a Fly In / Fly Out (FIFO) roster;
• A strong understanding of earthworks QA / QC requirements;
• Excellent communication and reporting skills;
• A proven track record on site project management / supervision and client liaison and able to demonstrate ability to maintain relationships with stakeholders; and
• A commitment to travel internationally.
