Simulator Instructor – Search and Rescue Technician for Training Center Operations (TCO) Canada
Within CAE Defense & Security International, our TCO Canada organization spreads across the country through 10 cities with over 40 training devices in support of DND Training Delivery to the next generation of aircrew and maintenance crews. Our main objective goes beyond the delivery of simulators, courseware and training solutions. We ensure training delivery and training operations. We focus on long term relationship with our customer, as we ensure the sustainability and improve the training solution as it evolves through the lifecycle of the aircraft evolution within the requirements of our contracts being the training partner of choice for Canada. This opportunity is to support the Fixed Wing Search and Rescue Program and one of Canada’s most noble missions.
Instruct RCAF aircrew students in classroom and practical settings using aircraft and simulation tools;
As part of an integrated aircrew instructor team, assist with the design and creation of CC295 Air Lesson Plans (ALPs), ground school lessons, continuation training and continuous improvement;
Working independently and as a member of a team in meeting a broad range of customer requirements and achieving team goals and objectives;
Act in the capacity of Subject Matter Expert (SME) during courseware development and/or upkeep of current and accurate instructor materials as well as client training materials and/or during the development of new training courses and/or modules;
Provide training to aircrew in the field of Search and Rescue Operations
Demonstrate aerial delivery preparation and procedures
Demonstrate safety techniques and coordination in Rescue Phase
Provide firsthand experience to simulated scenarios; and
Recommend and participate on improvement initiatives
Available to take part in training session(s) at CAE Montreal or other CAE Sites in Canada if required.
Minimum of 5 years of Search and Rescue Technician experience, or equivalent leadership experience;
Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen, a Permanent Resident or with a valid Work Permit;
Capable of obtaining and maintaining both a Controlled Goods Clearance and a Government of Canada Level II security clearance;
Fluency in English;
Superior interpersonal and communication skills;
Physically able to work in confined spaces such as flight training devices; and
Ability to travel occasionally (within Canada).
Familiar with Quality Standards, Training Plans and training media used to ensure Teaching Points are met per Training Standards;
Experience with authoring and amending multi-media instructional courseware;
Verbal French language skills suitable to instruct in French; and
Airbus 295 aircraft experience
