Responsibilities
  • Integrate functional UI/UX mockups into Shopify
  • Customize, develop, and implement custom themes and applications
  • Ensure maintenance and propose continuous improvements
  • Contribute to strategic discussions and provide development effort estimates
  • Follow the latest and best development practices
  • Perform code quality reviews for your colleagues
  • Ensure the site is fully functional before launch
  • Stay up to date with the latest web technologies and trends
Required technical skills
  • Strong expertise in Shopify
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and at least one popular framework (Vue.js, React, etc.)
  • Proficiency in another object-oriented programming language
  • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid
  • Experience with Shopify APIs and third-party integrations
  • Understanding of SEO fundamentals and Shopify best practices
  • Experience with databases such as MySQL/MariaDB
  • Solid knowledge of Git
  • Experience with development frameworks (Agile, Kanban, etc.)
Nice-to-haves
  • Experience with another modern e-commerce platform
  • Experience with Grunt or Gulp
  • Experience with the Atlassian suite (Jira, BitBucket, Confluence)
  • Experience with headless development (Hydrogen preferred)
  • Experience with connected external systems (PIM, DAM, ERP, etc.)
  • Experience with hosting services (AWS, Vercel, etc.)
