Overview

Fort Garry Industries has an exciting opportunity for a Shipper Receiver to join our team at our Thunder Bay location.

Responsibilities
  • Accurately receive incoming product and match the quantity of items received to the shipping documents
  • Prepare shipping documents for outbound products
  • Package, label, and ship customer orders, verifying order accuracy prior to shipping
  • Inspect stock items for wear or defects, and report any damaged or missing stock to management
  • Replenish inventory items in designated warehouse storage bins
  • Uphold and embody FGI Customer Service Standards and Core Values with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders
  • Champion FGI\'s safety culture by performing all duties within established procedures and practices
  • May secure cargo to a vehicle (manual or forklift)
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • MUST HAVE 1 year of general warehouse experience, shipping and receiving, or order picker experience using an RF Scanner or barcode gun
  • MUST BE ABLE to meet the physical requirements: Lift up to 75-100lbs, frequent standing and walking, reading small print and numbers
  • High school diploma, GED or other high school equivalence certificate
  • Excellent customer service skills – dedicated to exceeding expectations of internal and external customers
  • Strong written and verbal skills – ability to write and speak succinctly with customers and colleagues
  • Basic to proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (email, Word, Excel) and ability to learn in-house systems
  • Heavy-duty parts knowledge or background is an asset
  • Experience using an RF Scanner is an asset
