About the Opportunity

We are looking for a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as aService Technician/Small Engine Mechanic. This is afull-time, permanent positionthat supports our shop operations by assisting with maintenance, repair, and servicing of equipment, tools, and vehicles.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and grow within a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the inspection, maintenance, and repair of small engines, power tools, and various types of equipment.
  • Support senior mechanics with diagnostics, troubleshooting, and equipment testing.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, and part installations.
  • Clean, organize, and maintain the shop, tools, and work areas to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
  • Track and record maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
  • Load, unload, and prepare tools or materials for job sites as required.
  • Follow safety protocols and ensure all work meets company standards.
  • Assist with parts inventory, ordering, and restocking as directed.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and light machinery safely and effectively.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a mechanic, shop, or maintenance-related role is an asset.
  • Basic knowledge of small engine repair and mechanical systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment or tools as required.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced mechanics.
  • Current/valid driver’s license and clean Driver’s Abstract.
  • Punctual, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated and diligent with a “make it happen” attitude.
