Now Hiring – Full-Time Catering & Events Server

• Location: The Explorer Hotel, Yellowknife, NT
• Position Type: Full-Time

Are you passionate about hospitality and thrive in a fast‑paced, event‑driven environment? The Explorer Hotel is seeking a dedicated and professional Catering & Events Server to join our team full‑time.

What You’ll Do:

• Serve and pour food and beverages during banquets, meetings, and special events
• Assist with setup and takedown of event spaces, including arranging tables, linens, and décor
• Respond to guest requests with professionalism and attention to detail
• Collaborate with the banquet and culinary teams to ensure smooth event execution
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of event areas before, during, and after service
• If not required in catering or event service, shift assignments may vary to support other outlets within The Explorer Hotel

What We’re Looking For:

• Must be 19 years of age or older
• Must hold a valid Safe Server certification or equivalent
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet the needs of our banquet and events schedule
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A customer‑focused attitude with a commitment to delivering memorable experiences
• Ability to lift and move event equipment and stand for extended periods
• Previous serving experience is an asset, but we’re happy to train the right candidate
• Local candidates are preferred
