Your role

We are seeking a UX Designer who champions users in all phases of the product management cycle. You will conduct research to understand customer problems, work with the business to identify needs, and collaborate with UI designers and developers to design meaningful solutions. This role is for our flagship Information Archiving product, joining a diverse team using modern tools.

Your responsibilities

• Advocate for customers by gaining a deep understanding of their work and challenges
• Partner with stakeholders and product management to develop approaches that work; not just gathering requirements
• Proactively apply appropriate research techniques
• Concept, prototype, validate, refine, and present design solutions
• Communicate solutions to developers in an agile software development environment
• Create sketches, flows, wireframes, and other design artifacts
• Identify and leverage metrics to drive product management and measure success
• Guide and coach other designers and non-designers to uplift design thinking

About you / Qualifications

• 6+ years in user experience, interaction design, or a similar role, including at least 2 years in a senior role
• Experience designing enterprise web applications, ideally in finance, compliance, or other highly regulated industries
• A portfolio with case studies showing strong storytelling and a clear design journey from problem framing to outcome
• Strong research skills and ability to apply the right methods to solve problems
• Ability to create and explain systems, workflows, and interaction models
• Strong communication and verbal skills to explain design rationale to technical and business stakeholders
• Experience in an enterprise business environment is an asset

Compensation

Global Relay advertises the pay range in compliance with British Columbia’s pay transparency laws. Individual pay rates are determined by expertise, skills, education, and professional background.

The base salary range is provided as part of a comprehensive total rewards package designed to reflect our pay philosophy, culture, and values. We offer extended health benefits, virtual healthcare, a wellness allowance, vacation time that increases with tenure, paid sick days, parental leave enhancements, bonuses, and RRSP matching. For Vancouver-based employees, a subsidized meal program is available.

British Columbia – Base salary range $90,000 — $110,000 CAD.
