Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Cloud & Enterprise Systems: Administration and continuous improvement of Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Core Business Applications: Management and integration of the Broker Management System (Applied Epic), with focus on reliability, data integrity, and performance.
  • Network & Connectivity: Establishment and oversight of multi-office networking, security posture, telephony (VoIP), and mobile device environments.
  • End‑Point Lifecycle: Implementation of modern endpoint management practices, including Intune and Autopilot, supporting 150+ devices with a goal of highly automated, low‑touch operations.
  • Security & Risk Management: Participation in cybersecurity strategy, vendor coordination, backup systems, and disaster recovery planning, with mentorship from senior leadership and the MSP.
  • Architect for Scale: Contribute to infrastructure designs that support growth without linear increases in technical overhead.
  • Drive Internalization: Help transition critical technical functions from outsourced support into internal ownership, improving responsiveness and system quality.
  • Solve Real Problems: Develop strong root‑cause analysis skills and the confidence to tackle complex technical challenges with guidance and feedback.
  • Leadership Exposure: Participate in management‑level discussions to understand how technology decisions shape business outcomes and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Education: A university degree is strongly preferred as it reflects foundational technical training and disciplined problem‑solving ability. Equivalent professional experience will be considered for exceptional candidates.
  • Technical Versatility: Experience across multiple domains such as cloud services, networking, operating systems, hardware, and enterprise applications.
  • Curiosity & Growth Mindset: Demonstrated passion for technology and learning, whether through professional projects, home labs, personal experimentation, or community involvement.
  • Industry Experience: Background in insurance and familiarity with Applied Epic or similar broker management systems is a strong asset but not mandatory.
  • Autonomy with Support: Comfortable taking initiative while collaborating with senior leadership and the MSP to accelerate learning and execution.
  • Must have strong communication and organizational skills and be able to multi‑task and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
