Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer with buildings (commercial, residential, institutional) experience to join our growing team in the Greater Toronto Area.

Responsibilities
  • Structural design and analysis for a wide range of buildings projects, involving steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and heritage building systems.
  • Assisting in the preparation of drawings and specifications.
  • Conducting site investigations to document existing conditions.
  • Project Management of staff and clients on large and/or complex projects.
  • Participates in the proposal development process and assists in business development/project pursuit strategies, or is interested in becoming involved.
  • Support Team Lead/Sector Manager in managing staff and financials.
  • Providing mentoring and guidance to junior staff.
  • Maintaining involvement in professional organizations to keep abreast of new industry developments.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor b4s Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering.
  • P.Eng license with PEO required.
  • 7-10 years of experience in the execution of residential, government, or institutional buildings projects as a Structural Engineer is required.
  • Experience in adaptive reuse would be considered an asset.
  • Proficiency with computer analysis software (e.g. RISA, SAP, RAM).
  • Working knowledge of REVIT.
  • Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions.
  • Strong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients’ toughest challenges.
  • High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way.
  • Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence.
