What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Develop, maintain, and build tools that enhance the efficiency of product developers at Poe and Quora
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of reusable components for developers
• Collaborate with product teams to identify pain points and address developer workflow challenges
• Drive proposals and initiatives to improve developer experiences and adopt new frameworks
• Work primarily with Python and modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, NextJS, GraphQL, and Relay

What is Required (Qualifications)

• Availability for meetings and communication during coordination hours (Mon-Fri: 9am-3pm Pacific Time)
• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 4 years of experience with large-scale codebases and web applications
• At least 4 years of experience in building APIs for large teams
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with React and GraphQL

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Experience and interest in building tools to support other developers, including contributions to open source projects
• Familiarity with NextJS, Relay, or similar modern web frameworks
• Interest in full-stack development
• Passion for creating reliable and performant consumer internet products
