Join RBC’s AML IT Transformation Program as a Senior Project Manager, where you’ll play a pivotal role in advancing our Anti-Money Laundering (AML) technology landscape. This high-impact position supports the Director, AML IT Transformation Program Lead in executing strategic initiatives that strengthen regulatory compliance and technological innovation across RBC. You’ll collaborate with cross‑functional teams, drive project delivery excellence, and contribute to a program shaping the future of financial crime prevention.

As part of RBC’s Technology & Operations division, you’ll work in a dynamic environment that values bold thinking, collaboration, and professional growth. What will you do?
  • Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of AML IT transformation projects, ensuring alignment with program objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Create high‑quality executive presentations and reports to communicate project status, risks, and deliverables to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate cross‑functional meetings, steering committees, and working sessions to drive decision‑making and resolve bottlenecks.
  • Translate complex technical and business concepts into clear, actionable narratives for diverse audiences.
  • Track project milestones, budgets, and KPIs, ensuring transparency and accountability across teams.
  • Identify and escalate barriers to delivery, proposing solutions to keep initiatives on track.
  • Mentor junior project managers and foster a culture of collaboration within the program.
What do you need to succeed?
  • 8+ years of experience managing large‑scale technology projects, preferably in AML, Compliance, or Financial Crime domains.
  • Exceptional presentation and visualization skills, with expertise in PowerPoint and tools like Visio or Lucidchart to create compelling executive‑level materials.
  • Proven ability to simplify complex information into digestible, purpose‑driven narratives.
  • Strong financial acumen for budget tracking and resource optimization.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience influencing senior leaders.
  • Agile/Scrum certification or equivalent experience in iterative delivery methodologies.
