Our client, a leader in national financial services, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Management Specialist to support a major enterprise initiative. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-impact, multi-year projects within a complex environment.

  • Must be eligible to obtain Reliability Clearance (minimum 5 years in Canada)
Responsibilities
  • Oversee large, multi-year projects (40+ resources) and ensure completion within agreed timelines and performance parameters.
  • Develop project plans, prioritize deliverables, and ensure effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Manage scope, quality, timelines, risks, issues, and interdependencies across all project phases.
  • Prepare and present proposals, dashboards, plans, charts, status reports, and risk logs using project management tools.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, external suppliers, and project teams to identify challenges and develop effective solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with business partners to support client needs and resolve inquiries.
  • Manage unplanned project activities, including re-planning and recalibration, with minimal oversight.
  • Apply project management best practices and methodologies to all project activities.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on status, risks, issues, and value delivery.
  • Ensure all project documentation, deliverables, and processes are completed accurately and on time.
  • Perform additional project-related activities and deliverables as required.
Qualifications
  • University degree or college diploma in IT, project management, business analysis, or related field—or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of recent experience as a Senior Project Management Specialist overseeing large, complex projects (40+ resources, multi-year).
  • 5+ years of experience delivering strategic initiatives using Agile or hybrid (Agile/Waterfall) methodologies.
  • Experience delivering large-scale initiatives within the financial sector (banks, financial institutions, market participants).
  • PMP or PMI certification (an asset).
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate business needs into clear project objectives and value delivery.
  • Proven ability to lead multiple initiatives concurrently while effectively managing interdependencies.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and organizational levels.
