Job description
Position Overview

As a Senior Product Manager for Product Access, you'll architect the next-generation licensing platform that powers every Autodesk product—from desktop software to cloud APIs and AI-driven automation. This isn't maintenance work; you're enabling new business models that will fuel Autodesk's journey to $10 billion in revenue over the next 3 years. You'll enable product teams across the company to experiment with groundbreaking strategies like API and MCP monetization, and granular AI feature access, directly unlocking new revenue streams while ensuring secure, compliant, and flexible access for millions of users worldwide. This role offers rare career-defining opportunities: high visibility reporting to senior leadership, greenfield product development, and the chance to solve complex problems at the intersection of AI, automation, and platform infrastructure. You'll be partnering with engineering, design, and business stakeholders to discover and ship solutions that shape product strategy across Autodesk's entire portfolio.

Responsibilities
  • Define product strategy, translating it into prioritized OKRs and a roadmap.
  • Present and promote your product strategy across the company to many audiences, from technical to executive-level leadership.
  • Collaborate across product teams, partner orgs, and key stakeholders to identify challenges and deliver effective solutions that are valuable, viable, feasible and work for Autodesk’s business.
  • Track and optimize solutions post-launch to ensure they deliver the expected impact.
  • Build empathy with product teams onboarding to Product Access services, identifying friction in the process, and proposing solutions to simplify and streamline the integrations.
  • Contribute to the product team a deep knowledge of our users and customers, and the data about how our customers engage with our products.
  • Track industry trends and the competitive landscape.
  • Influence product teams, senior leaders, and stakeholders through storytelling, incorporating qualitative and quantitative data to craft clear, compelling stories about who my product is for, what problems it solves for them, and why it’s important to our business.
  • Help develop product culture within the broader organization, including mentoring more junior product managers and driving process improvements.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the techniques and methods of modern product discovery and product delivery.
  • Demonstrated curiosity about—and use—of AI tools to make you and your team more effective at product development.
  • 8+ years of product management experience with at least 3 years focused on platform.
  • Applicants with 8+ years of product development experience in roles like engineering, developer advocacy, data analysis, data engineering, customer support, experience design and/or data science are welcome to apply if part of that time was in a product management role.
  • Demonstrated ability to figure out solutions to hard problems with many constraints, assess risks, and to lay out your argument in a well-structured, data-informed, written narrative.
Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
