Senior Practice Consultants are skilled in diagnosing, assessing, and helping practices at different stages. They are experienced in working with some of the top advisors and teams in the industry. Utilizing an unbiased lens, they conduct deep discovery to analyze the practice, identify strengths and opportunities, and get to know what is truly important to them. We focus on developing critical skills and providing thought leadership that drives legendary Client Experiences, Advisor and business growth, helping to grow sustainable market share.

We work in close partnership with our National Office and the broader TD enterprise to provide end‑to‑end support to advisors on all facets of their personal and practice growth.

Job Description:

This role is accountable for driving practice enhancement, engagement and coaching with HNW Advisory teams (Private Investment Advice).

The incumbent will be a subject‑matter expert who will engage with Advisors in a practice discovery and solution process and serve as a consultant who delivers solutions that harness the full scope of Practice Management across Value Proposition Creation, Discovery, Planning and Investment Management, and consulting across all areas of running and growing a practice through various stages of the practice lifecycle. This individual will also be adept at implementing tactical Practice Management initiatives at the leader and Advisor level.

The role will involve thought‑leader delivery for larger groups as well as deskside, one‑on‑one, advisory and team engagements.

Areas of key focus will involve equipping the local Advisors to grow through greater efficiency and an optimal approach to their practice. They will also enhance the field’s ability to build their books through prospecting, internal referrals, consolidation strategies, building a consistently delivered brand, providing tangible value, team development and team efficiency.

Job Requirements:
  • Proven track record in the delivery of HNW advice and solutions to clients.
  • 10+ years Sales Leadership, Coaching, Training and/or Advisory experience.
  • Excellent presentation skills and a history of one‑on‑one and group coaching.
  • Forward‑looking thought leader, with problem‑solving skills, an understanding of advisory practice optimization and the ability to develop pragmatic effective solutions.
  • Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and demonstrate proper discipline around timelines, implementation, and sustainment.
  • Ability to guide others to a desired conclusion and influence and drive accountability.
  • Knowledge of TD Wealth products, systems, procedures and structure.
  • Understanding of Private Wealth Management business, regulations and procedures.
  • Subject‑matter expertise and/or industry certifications/accreditations such as CSC, IFIC, PFP, PFPc, CFP, CFA would be considered an asset.
  • Team player able to help others understand complex issues and influence a diverse group to a common goal. Strong collaborative skills and experience partnering with business units.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to communicate to a diverse audience.
  • Coaching designations such as ACC, PCC through the International Coaching Federation (ICF) or other, would be considered an asset.
  • Consulting certifications such as Kolbe, StrengthsFinder, DISC, Myers‑Briggs would also be considered an asset.
