Job description
What You Will Do
  • Lead structural engineering design and analysis for marine infrastructure such as deep foundations piers harbour walls bulkheads retaining walls and cofferdams.
  • Develop high-quality concrete and steel drawings and detailseither manually or using CAD tools.
  • Perform structural analyses using SAP2000 or similar finite element software.
  • Apply current codes standards and industry best practices to all aspects of design.
  • Prepare clear well-structured technical reports and documentation.
  • Manage projects effectively ensuring quality client satisfaction and timely delivery.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external geographically distributed teams.
  • Engage directly with clients offering thoughtful solutions and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Travel occasionally for site visits project meetings and field assignments (typically 12 weeks at a time with some longer opportunities).
Qualifications
  • 12 years of structural engineering experience related to marine infrastructure.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully design and analyze structures as an individual contributor.
  • Strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proven project management capabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving environment with evolving priorities and deadlines.
Nice to Have
  • Experience in geotechnical arctic offshore or construction engineering (including familiarity with EnSoft software).
  • Civil Structural or related engineering field.
  • Broad interest in marine and coastal engineering.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and enthusiasm for collaborating closely with clients.
