What we offer

The Senior Manager, Applications Technology will be accountable for the strategy, development, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise applications in our advanced manufacturing start‑up. This role will have a particular emphasis on the implementation and ongoing support of our ERP solution restante and the seamless interoperability of the ERP with other operational technology systems such as the Manufacturing Execution Systems. The successful candidate will ensure that application systems are pulsated with organizational goals, deliver optimal performance, and meet compliance and security standards. This role is critical to SAMI’s ability to deliver accurate, timely, and scalable production by ensuring the right data gets to the right systems, at the right time.

What you’ll do
  • Own the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of SAMI’s enterprise application stack – starting with the ERP (Odoo) – enabling scalable, automated, and data‑driven manufacturing operations.
  • Be the go‑to resource for all business‑critical systems (e.g., ERP, MES, WMS, CRM, etc.).
  • Serve as the primary owner of the ERP system from implementation to post‑go‑live optimization, ensuring alignment with business objectives and scalability for future needs.
  • Design and implement robust data integration workflows between customer‑facing systems and factory systems.
  • Own the strategy and execution of manufacturing systems integration – ensuring seamless data exchange between planning, production, inventory, and quality systems.
  • Develop and maintain APIs, ETL pipelines, and data architecture standards to support real‑time and batch data movement.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, operations, and commercial teams to map data flows and ensure system alignment across the production lifecycle.
  • Partner with IT leadership and external vendors on ERP enhancements, upgrades, and harmonization efforts.
  • Ensure secure, scalable, and supportable integration approaches using best practices in authentication, data validation, and fault tolerance.
  • Contribute to the digital manufacturing roadmap with a focus on interoperability, automation, and data visibility.
  • Support the rollout of reporting dashboards and data products by ensuring reliable backend data architecture and integration.
  • Define and monitor KPIs for integration health, latency, error handling, and throughput.
  • Lead or support change management for new data flows, working closely with business stakeholders to ensure adoption and value realization.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What you bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in IT, systems integration, or manufacturing systems.
  • Deep understanding of data pipelines, system interoperability, and middleware tools.
  • Experience integrating ERP systems with manufacturing systems such as MES, and/or IoT platforms.
  • Hands‑on experience with API management, data transformation, and system mapping (REST, GraphQL, ETL tools).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft platforms (Azure, Power BI, SQL Server) and industrial data environments.
  • Ability to work independently across cross‑functional teams and stakeholders with minimal oversight.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to translate operational needs into data/system requirements.
Bonus Points
  • Familiarity with greenfield or high‑automation manufacturing environments.
  • Exposure to lean manufacturing principles and value stream mapping.
  • Experience with implementation and post‑launch optimization of Odoo (ERP).
