Description

We are seeking a Senior Linux Engineer with expertise in HPC Systems, Redhat, SuSe, HP-UX, UNIX, AIX, DevOps, and Automation for Infrastructure Engineering and High-Performance Computing. The role involves managing HPC clusters, automating system configurations, and ensuring high availability of supercomputing environments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Linux/Unix Systems Administration
  • HPC Administration
  • Backup, archive, and retrieval processes for PLM / CAE / CFD systems
  • Evaluating emerging technologies for IT systems production
  • Cluster & Workstation health reporting
  • Supporting major IT changes

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Expertise in Linux/Unix
  • Automation/DevOps skills (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
  • Knowledge of HPC hardware, clusters, storage, and archiving
  • Understanding of process virtualization

Experience with Cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) or containers (Docker) is a plus but not mandatory.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines. Teamwork and understanding of business objectives are essential. Flexibility in working hours and approach is required. The role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and industry experts in a dynamic environment.

Salary & Benefits: Up to £85,000 base (flexible), Bonus + Benefits. Onsite parking, canteen, and gym facilities. Easily accessible from Banbury, Northampton, and Milton Keynes.
