Role Summary

NearSource is looking for a seasoned Java Developer to join our backend engineering team. This role involves working on scalable services and API integrations for a project with a Fortune 500 client. The ideal candidate will bring hands‑on expertise in building high‑performance backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize robust backend applications using Java and Spring Boot
• Architect backend services with a focus on scalability, reliability, and maintainability
• Design and implement RESTful APIs for integration with the frontend and external systems
• Conduct peer code reviews, mentor junior developers, and enforce best coding practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to ensure high system performance and availability
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate business needs into technical specifications
• Contribute to improving CI/CD pipelines and software delivery workflows
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests to uphold code quality
• Stay current with industry trends and incorporate best practices into development processes

Must‑Have Skills
