Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Manager of Financial Reporting for a 6-month contract in Toronto. The successful candidate will prepare consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS and serve as a subject-matter expert in complex accounting areas. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and a CPA designation, along with at least 6 years of experience in accounting and external reporting. This role also requires strong analytical and communication skills, with a pay rate of $50.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• 6–10+ years of progressive accounting or external reporting experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS standards.
• Experience with public company financial reporting preferred.
• Prior Big Four or large public accounting firm experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements.
• Serve as the subject-matter expert on IFRS standards.
• Oversee the monthly and quarterly consolidation process.
• Maintain internal controls over external reporting processes.
• Prepare supporting documentation for external audits.
