The Role

We’relooking foraSenior Front-End Software Developer who is passionate about building exceptional user experiences and shaping a scalable, modern front-end architecture.You take full ownership of your domain, guiding architectural choices and delivering high‑quality work autonomously. Youestablishcoding standards, champion best practices, and strengthen team workflows through mentorship and example, all whiledemonstratingoperational excellence in incident response and root-cause analysis. You communicate complex ideas clearly, mentor junior engineers, collaborate effectively with peers, andadviseleadership on technical feasibility and long-term implications. Driven by craftsmanship and impact, you design elegant, scalable systems and elevate engineering practices as a collaborative team player who shares knowledge generously.

What You'll Do
  • Architect, design, and implement front-end infrastructure, reusable UI components, and scalable frameworks.
  • Build intuitive, resilient, and high-performing features for a large-scale platform.
  • Lead and contribute to all phases of the engineering process, including Agile planning, design reviews, documentation, and releases.
  • Drive technical decision‑making within your subsystem/domain and influence broader front‑end direction.
  • Improve quality, performance, and reliability while proactively reducing technical debt.
  • Turn ambiguous problems into clear requirements and actionable solutions.
  • Mentor junior engineers (SDE1–SDE2) and collaborate with Product Managers and Engineering Managers on priorities, feasibility, and trade-offs.
  • Act as an escalation point during incidents,leadingrecoveryand root‑cause analysis efforts.
About You
  • Strong experience with modern JavaScript frameworks and tools (React, Vue.js, Angular, webpack,npm/yarn, Vite).
  • Proficiencywith TypeScript and large-scale, maintainable codebases.
  • Experience with testing tools such as Jest,Vitest, Cypress, or Playwright.
  • Deep understanding of state management for complex applications (Redux,Vuex,Zustand,Pinia, etc.).
  • Experience designing and integrating with REST APIs.
  • Solid understanding of QA practices, debugging, and cross-functional engineering workflows.

Please note that this role requires three days a week in our Toronto office which is located near Union Station

The salary range for this role is $130,000 to $170,000 annually. In addition to salary, new hires may be eligible to receive stock options. The salary range shared is intended as a guide; the final salary offered may vary based on factors including the experience and skillset of the candidate.
