Monthly Analysis and Reports:

• Administer the monthly reporting cycle for the Operations group and coordinate monthly meetings to review financial results to fully understand business events and market trends.

• Prepare monthly analysis of actual results and compare them to forecasts and budget. Explain discrepancies and make recommendations for corrective actions to be taken.

• Collaborate with the Operations group team to provide the necessary support for the preparation of financial analysis for the effective management of its activities.

• Prepare key performance indicators, support management and finance team by providing them with the forecasts, budgets and other required analysis.

Continuous budget and financial forecasting:

• Participate in the forecasting and budgeting process and lead initiatives to continually improve and automate the tools used.

• Prepare a detailed budget by business unit and review it with business partners.

• Change financial forecasts following monthly analysis and discussions with different business partners.

Ad hoc and continuous improvement:

• Prepare various ad hoc requirements for the Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis.

• Support the finance team with month-end closing procedures and the preparation of monthly management reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or administration

• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience

• CPA designation an asset

• Bilingualism (French/English) both oral and written.

• Strong analytical thinking

• Autonomous and proactive

• Knowledge and proficiency in accounting and financial systems and software; knowledge of Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint
