Position Description

LOCATION: VANCOUVER, BC

This role is part of a large, multi-year enterprise implementation focused on establishing a unified, high-confidence approach to identity resolution and advanced search across core data platforms. The program is introducing new clustering, survivorship, and search capabilities to replace fragmented legacy approaches, enabling accurate matching, reconciliation, and discovery of customer and organizational records at scale. These capabilities are foundational to data quality, operational efficiency, and downstream system reliability.

Responsibilities

The Senior Data Scientist implements clustering logic, survivorship workflows, and advanced search services that must perform reliably under high volume and complex matching scenarios. The services built in this stream are consumed by multiple teams and systems, making correctness, performance, and maintainability critical. While initially assigned to this flagship implementation, the clustering algorithms, search services, and engineering patterns delivered by this role are intended to become reusable assets across future transformation initiatives, positioning the Senior Data Scientist as a key contributor to long-term identity and search capabilities within the consulting practice.

Qualifications

• Exposure to Azure and GCP integration patterns ideal

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors including but not limited to skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $85,000 - $160,000.
