What is the opportunity?

Reporting to the Director, Business Analysis Contact Centre Technology, the Senior Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for the execution of all aspects of requirements delivery including planning, elicitation, analysis, and documentation. Will support changes to Business and Technology for development projects of various complexity impacting the portfolio systems used by the RBC Advisor network. You will have the opportunity to manage multiple priorities and time constraints while delivering high-quality requirements and support while partnering with various IT and Business stakeholders.

What will you do?

  • Plan and execute detailed system requirements phases and identify, track, and resolve business systems issues.
  • Elicit and analyze business and system requirements, create/edit documentation such as current and future state business & systems processes, user stories, story maps, data catalogs, business rules, use cases, and user interface design.
  • Stakeholder management where candidate can coordinate among stakeholders, colleagues, and managers to encourage the adoption of best practices.
  • Provide support to our business, technical and third-party partners during the development and testing phases.
  • Contribute to successful project completion within budget and on time, by identifying risks and developing/recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Review test plans, scenarios, and cases as needed.
  • Build and maintain a repository of reusable system documentation.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, assumptions, and constraints.
  • Effectively communicate and build rapport with team members, stakeholders, and business unit partners through all project phases.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 5+ years of experience as Business Systems Analyst/Business Analyst
  • Self-motivated, independent, possess excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven experience with Agile & Iterative Waterfall methodologies delivering large-scale complex projects.
  • Proven experience in requirements planning, analysis and documentation such as Use Cases and Scenarios, User Stories, Process Modeling, User Interface Design, Data Requirements, Acceptance and Evaluation Criteria Definition.
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written, for both technical and business audiences.
  • Experience working with Jira and Confluence.

Nice-to-have

  • Understanding of API.
  • Experience in Contact Centre Advisor domain.
  • Hands-on data analysis experience using medium to complex level SQL on but not limited to Relational databases.
