Overview

Join an innovative Business Development & Marketing team in London and take ownership of the firm's bids and pitch process. Manage end-to-end delivery of proposals, coordinating inputs from partners and teams, and ensuring submissions are consistently high-quality, compelling and on brand. Alongside bids, provide proactive BD support across the firm’s practice areas, departments and sectors.

About the Role

What you\'ll be doing

  • Own and continually improve the firm’s bids and pitch process, acting as the central point of coordination and quality control across all submissions
  • Produce and refine high-quality, persuasive proposals tailored to clients and opportunities, working closely with partners and business services teams
  • Ensure bids are consistently delivered to deadline, including fast-turnaround submissions. Submissions will be fully compliant with client instructions and panel criteria
  • Build and maintain a strong, accessible bank of credentials, case studies and bid materials to support efficiency and quality
  • Use reporting, feedback and market insight to enhance bid performance, share learning and embed bid best practice across the firm
  • Develop client development strategies aligned with firm goals
  • Work with Partner teams to develop pipelines and support them to convert prospects into opportunities into clients

About You

What we\'re looking for

  • At least five years’ experience in a bids/pitches/proposals role (or BD role with significant bids responsibility), ideally within a partnership environment (law preferred)
  • Strong ability to manage projects independently, balancing deadlines with innovation and collaboration
  • Confidence managing senior stakeholders and driving contributors to deadlines (including partners)
  • Positive, proactive attitude with a team-oriented approach
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of the nuances of a partnership environment
  • Excellent communication skills, able to network and influence partners with clarity and confidence
  • Exceptional writing, proofreading, and attention to detail
  • Eye for design and quality control of presentations and promotional materials
  • Experience working to tight deadlines and handling fast turnaround bids while maintaining high standards
  • Strong editorial judgement and ability to translate technical legal content into persuasive client-facing messaging
