Senior Accountant [Audit] - Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver exceptional service to clients under varying reporting frameworks across different industries and sectors
  • Provide clients with recommendations and solutions on current business and financial conditions
  • Plan, prepare and execute financial statement audits, reviews and compilations, including budget and resource requirements
  • Prepare various types of tax returns and respond to CRA requests for information
  • Contribute to building our reputation as the preferred business advisors in key sectors of our growing practice
  • Supervise, coach and provide timely feedback to junior engagement team members on diverse engagements
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications
  • Completed post-secondary degree/diploma
  • CPA accreditation (or near completion of)
  • Minimum 2 years of public practice audit experience
  • Strong technical expertise in audit, accounting and tax
  • Experience in tax return preparation

  • Strong planning and time management skills

  • Proficient with MS Office and accounting software (CaseWare, TaxPrep, Sage, QuickBooks) with ability to quickly grasp new tools

Our compensation practices are fair, equitable and competitive. For this role, base salary ranges from $59,000–$79,000 in Kelowna, BC. Salary in other locations may vary based on geography and other factors.
