About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to play a key role in financial operations. This position involves overseeing payroll, managing accounting functions, and ensuring regulatory compliance, all within a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Your Responsibilities
  • Manage payroll including deductions and daily credits.
  • Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Handle general accounting and month-end closing.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Participate in monthly reconciliations, customs, and collections management.
  • Collaborate with the U.S. head office for the transition to JDEdwards.
Your Profile
  • Fully bilingual (functional English required).
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in accounting.
  • Strong judgment and decision-making abilities.
  • Experience with collective agreements (training available if needed).
  • Hands-on experience with full payroll cycle using Dayforce (weekly processing).
  • Proficient in Excel (basic skills required).
  • Familiarity with AS400 and JDEdwards software (transitioning to JDEdwards).
  • Payroll Institute membership is an asset.
